Walk for Wednesday 10 August

Hello Walkers,
I'm pleased de tell you that we have found a new route in the bois de Vincennes.

We will start from Château de Vincennes then continue by lac des Minimes. A few hundred meters and we enter a curious garden that looks like lost civilizations. There you will discover a Chinese Gate, a Kmer Bridge, a Pavillon de l'Indochine, a pagoda, a mosque, some statues lying among
entangled weeds, etc.
Don't worry, I have never smoked that sort of cigarettes that make you laugh.
What is it ?  Where is it ?
This little-known place is "Jardin tropical". It housed the ColonialExhibition in 1906. All that in Paris!
I am sure you will enjoy it.
After this trip in the colonies we will walk along the river (la Marne) heading toward the Pont de Nogent. Then we will take the left bank and return to Joinville (end of the walk).
The distance will be about 10 kilometers.

Getting there -- Meeting 10:00 a.m. at métro Château-de-Vincennes (end of line 1). Exit 2. Corner Avenue de Paris/Cours des Maréchaux.
Return from Joinville station, RER A.
Please note - The RER A line is closed between Nation and la Défense. Also some work on line C.

You will need a picnic lunch, water and appropriate equipment.
Water taken in moderation cannot hurt anybody.

Sorry, I will not have a mobile this Wednesday.
